Mr. Khamphay Somsana, the founder and president of Khamphay Sana Group, was born in Kham District, Xiengkhuang province; with only a primary school education. He was married to Mrs. Phimkhan Somsana and had been a vendor for many years. Until 1980, he decided to move his family to Vientiane and established a furniture business in 1990.

With a vision and committed to establish the corporation under a brilliant leadership of Mr. Khamphay Somsana, over the past years the company has expanded and diversified its investment portfolio for civil construction engineering irrigation, concrete factory, furniture, agriculture and tourism. Nowadays, the KPG has become an outstanding corporation of Laos.

Apart from the company's role as president Mr. Khamphay has been contributing to governmental missions and social development. He is also the incumbent president of Lao Furniture Association, vice-president of ASEAN Furniture Association, Board of consultant for Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LNCCI), board member for LNCCI Vientiane capital level, board member of Lao Front for National Construction at Vientiane capital level.
